Inauguration of Midas School of Entrepreneurship Bengaluru City Campus on July 11, 2024
The Bengaluru City campus of the Midas School of Entrepreneurship was inaugurated in the divine presence of His Holiness Shri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji, monk and head pontiff of Shri Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Math, along with other esteemed dignitaries.
Sri Prashanth Prakash, founding partner of the US venture capital firm Accel, delivered the keynote address. He explained how fostering more entrepreneurs could contribute to the nation’s growth. Sri Prashanth Prakash identified two types of entrepreneurs: those born with innate qualities such as resilience and persistence and those who can be groomed by instilling such character. He lauded the efforts of the Midas School of Entrepreneurship.
Dr. Vidyashankar S., Vice Chancellor of VTU and chief guest of the occasion, praised the bold decision to start a school dedicated to training entrepreneurs. He noted that the Midas management must have meticulously planned everything while designing the program.
Sri Parag Shah, Founder Chairman of Flame University and Chief Mentor of the Midas School of Entrepreneurship, spoke extensively about the vision behind the course and the curriculum. He highlighted the importance of the effectuation approach and critical thinking, which are integral to the program.
In his speech, His Holiness Shri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji discussed the contributions of various sectors to India’s economy and how promoting more entrepreneurs could advance the nation’s economic growth. He also spoke about the challenges posed by artificial intelligence.
Sri Dhirendra, co-founder of the Midas School of Entrepreneurship, proposed the vote of thanks.
